Episode 64: A Breath of Fresh Air in Coaching

So, in case you missed it, I’m in a fight with my industry right now. I’ve had it with the “bro-marketing” and the “do it my way, or you’ll be broke forever” lines that so many business coaches throw around out there.

To take a break from all the madness, I hopped onto Clubhouse (if we’re not connected there yet, you can find me @SarahWalton – come play!) to get connected in a way I haven’t been able to with traditional social media.

And boom. There was Nicole Saunders. I just loved her energy and her approach to community and connecting. We had a lot in common in the way we view the world, especially around business coaching.

I asked her if she’d like to make our conversation more public on the podcast, and she said yes!

In this episode, Nicole and I talk about the power of Clubhouse (I mean, c’mon. How could we not?) And how people can use it without becoming overwhelmed. I love that last part because the last thing any of us need is another time suck.

And listen, heaven knows you don’t have to run out and sign up, but there is definitely something to be said for connecting with new people in new ways.

We also talked about the importance of making sure your personality is aligned with your business. This one definitely gets overlooked these days, especially with all the cookie cutters business plans out there.

It makes me want to run out and paint one of those “Don’t Let This Happen To YOU!” signs or something.
