If we were to write about the last two years using biblical language, I imagine it going something like this:

And the dark days were upon them. Hope and joy seemed to have left the people of earth. Cynicism, sarcasm, and quitting became commonplace among the people.

You guys. Holy cow. Is it just me or are these some tough times we’re going through? The resignation, the fatigue, the worry.

We have reason for it, too! We’re all “over it,” and we don’t even really know how to describe what “it” is because it just feels like everything is upside down.

For a few years now (I mean, basically the entire life of my podcast because I launched in January of 2020), I’ve been talking about how uncomfortable we are as humans with the idea that we’re not in control.

Add on top of that a feeling of “nothing I do changes anything,” and boy, do we have a recipe for a serious bout of the “F-its.”

I hear you. I feel you. I’m going through it with you. None of us is getting out of this period of time right now. This is all real.

And we can go through it without giving up. Right now, your job isn’t to “win,” your job isn’t to “be the best!” — no.

Right now, your job is to stay in the freaking game.

Don’t quit. Don’t hide. Don’t stop.

Just keep putting one foot in front of the other.

I don’t know who needs to hear this one this week, but if you’re going through what most of the world is going through, this is going to help.
