COVID has changed how we connect with each other.
And, as a business owner, that means your social media strategy has to keep up. Your audience expects you to be human. A real person, they can connect with, understand, and be inspired by. Oh, and P.S. that doesn’t mean you have to do it all yourself.
In this episode, I got to sit down with the founder of My Friend Betty Says, Betty Galvan. My Friend Betty is a Digital Marketing Studio with a team of killer social media experts who, get this is almost 90%, Latina. How cool is that?
I was so excited to sit down and chat with her about how she makes sure she has a seat at the table (any table she wants to be a part of, by the way). And, she’s done it with style and grace.
She’s grown her business from scratch while raising 3 boys, and volunteering in her community. Now, she’s also an honoree Board of Trustee member for the Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity Taskforce for her boys’ school.
She’s a force to be reckoned with while remaining personable, approachable, and honest while finding her seat at the table.
Betty has over 12 years of experience in blogging and social media, as well as a background in education. She serves as an instructor and consultant, helping businesses and service providers thrive on social media.
My Friend Betty was formed 3 years ago. Her team currently manages social media platforms for over 45 entrepreneurs, including health care providers, realtors, attorneys, personal trainers, and business coaches.
Betty’s hosted a series of social media seminars. Including, “How to Leverage Facebook and Instagram for Your Business” and “The Personable Professional: Maximizing Your LinkedIn Presence.” She also trains teams of executives in various industries on social media strategies tailored to each business.
Betty’s appeared as a Speaker at #WeAllGrow Summit. She’s also been featured in several publications, such as BuzzFeed and Hip New Jersey. She was recently nominated for the B.I.G. Financial Courage Award as an outstanding leader. Betty has also been named as a Top Latina Blogger by LATISM (Latinos In Social Media).
As we mentioned in the show, Betty is offering a 15% discount to join her LIVE webinar, “The State of Social Media 2021”. Click here to sign up.
So, find your seat at the table, and listen in as we talk about what it takes to be successful after the paradigm shifts of COVID, taking a stand for diversity, and that you don’t have to do it all.
