If you’re actively scaling your business right now, chances are you’re hearing about the importance of outsourcing. Often by hiring an integrator, Director of Operations, or an Online Business Manager.
As a former Director of Operations, this week’s podcast guest knows all too well that throwing money, and even people, at a problem, is not always the best decision. And, when it’s not the right time for you to hire, going too quickly can even put you out of business. Yikes.
So, we’re going to dive right into it and talk about when it’s the right time to hire. How to figure out what you really need, and then how to get it.
This week’s guest is Kristen Westcott, and she’s a business growth and systems strategist. She’s spent the last decade in the legal and education fields supporting leaders and students in the areas of goal setting, productivity, and project management.
After recognizing that she thrives while serving entrepreneurs, Kristen honed her skills as a Director of Operations. She quickly noticed that what was holding many business owners back wasn’t a lack of drive or ability, but a lack of foundational systems that could support the day-to-day operations of a scaling business.
Today, she spends her time helping online coaches, copywriters, and course creators scale without the frustration that massive growth often brings.
So when we sat down, Kristen let me know that she’s seeing it as a worrisome trend in the entrepreneurial space – hint everyone wanting an integrator to solve their biz problems.
And, instead of just running towards that perceived “solution” she’s been teaching entrepreneurs how to identify the operational gaps that are keeping them from scaling. Without the hustle and burnout.
You’ll hear us talk about how you can figure out what you really need:
maybe it’s better systems, an implementer, or a integrate. Then we’ll talk about how you can evaluate the ROI of getting that support.
During the interview, Kristen shared her Focus framework. Which she created to help you narrow down what specific areas to focus on according to the business phase you’re in. And, what you can worry about later.

After you listen in, I have a feeling you’ll feel relieved and confident that you can get the right support in place so you can grow your business.
Let’s get to it.
