Episode 22: VIP Pass: Doing This ONE Thing Will Kill Your Magic
Don’t kill your magic. Wow. What a loaded statement that is. I mean, you’d never kill your magic on purpose, right? Except that, you probably do it every day.
Yikes! In this episode, you get a special VIP backstage pass to one of my favorite live events.
What you’re about to hear is a passage from Day 2 of my live event, where I talk about passion. And that the key to passion is listening. The best way to kill your magic? Stop listening to your intuition and suffocate your passion.
If you’ve ever heard me talk about passion before, you know how important this is to me. To me, living a life of passion is about living IN the magic, and making sure you keep it front and center.
The story you’re about to hear is one I’ve never shared outside of that conference. And even as we were decided whether or not to share it, I started to tear up.
It’s a deeply personal story, and it means a lot to me to be able to share it with you. Truth be told, it’s not 100% my story, and I’ve waited years to share it so I could make sure I do so with respect and integrity.
There are a few moments in life when we get reminded how important it is to listen to our guides, to our intuition or our higher power.
And in fact, to NOT pay attention to those things, is to make sure we miss out on some of the most important, most touching and most deeply moving moments of life. Not listening is a surefire way to kill your magic.
You’ll hear me reference conversations from the first day, but you’ll be able to follow along.
Truth be told. I’m pretty damn active on stage, so you won’t see the silly faces or my funny gestures. But I have a feeling you’ll get the gist of it. LOL I mean, the title says it all, right? Don’t kill your magic. What’s not to get about that?
But honestly, it’s more than just not killing your magic. For me, this is the ultimate lesson in surrendering and about tapping into the magic we all have access to when we choose to listen.
I hope you enjoy it.

I am still drying my tears as I type this. Your passion for life is contagious and aren’t I blessed to be working with you. YES! What an incredible story that left to others, they would not have come to the same conclusion that you did. That is your unique gift.
I did a TED (like) talk for medical professionals (now on YouTube) and I wanted to talk about trusting your instincts to be your guide. You reminded me to follow my own words! Gulp.
Thanks, Sarah. You empower and inspire me each day. This is no exception. Now onto following a passion…… Big game on girlfriend hugs!
Oh Cathy! These words mean so much. I’m SO impressed with your work and daily dedication to making a difference for others and making sure you stand up for those who need it. Game On Girlfriend indeed. Keep going woman. xo
