Game On Girlfriend Ep200

I can't believe we've recorded 200 episodes of the Game on Girlfriend podcast for all of you. We’ve gone in and dug through the top performing episodes between episode 100 and episode 200 to recap, along with some episodes where I’d personally received feedback from all of you.

Recapping podcast favorites

We worked hard to whittle this down and bring you what we felt were the top hits. We couldn’t fit everyone in but know this has just been an absolute joy, and I really want to take a minute and thank you so much for supporting the Game on Girlfriend podcast.

Episode 190

Can Coaches Really Make Money? BTS With MY Coach Kelsey Murphy

Kelsey really homes in on what we coaches -- those of us who really study the craft and the art and the skill behind coaching -- do because we really love other people, and we really love this planet.

“So, you have all these wonderful, empathetic, big-hearted humans that are not successful out in the world. And I'm like, no F that. … That makes me feel like, no, something's not right in the world. Because these people, these communicators, are the ones that could stop wars. They could make people feel seen and heard.” – Kelsey Murphy

Teaching people the skills of being able to share emotions, ideas, and experiences in a way that expands rather than contracts the rest of the world is really special.

This is a solo episode where it’s me speaking to all of you, directly. I've recorded them in cars, in closets. I've recorded them inside my father's closet and just outside of his hotel room. I basically have done these pretty much everywhere. This is one where there were so many people reaching out to me saying it just feels too hard right now. This episode was my response.

“This idea that we have to show up and perform in a certain way, we have to show up and appear a certain way. … We've got to be so aware of what we are here to deliver that we can't get distracted by what other people are doing. … I want you to get really honest with you. Are you doing this to yourself? Are you showing up in the world the way you think the world wants you to be seen? Or are you showing up based on who you are? Because the moment you start to show up as who you really are, is the moment your business will transform, your life will become a lot easier and you'll probably start making more money.” – Sarah Walton

Self-trust is being something that is just an absolute tenet of everything that I teach and everything that I do whenever I'm coaching. It's so important that we remember that we have so much power in how we talk to ourselves and how we decide to respond to the different pressures and stressors that come at us, as well as the joys.

Episode 188

Social Media is NOT a Marketing Strategy with Ruthie Sterrett

As you know, I have a serious love hate relationship with social media. I really opened up with Ruthie about what it is to be a mom; she decided to start her business because she's a mom. How do we deal with that and teach each other how to really grow businesses so we can support moms inside of a society that doesn't as much as we'd all like.

“I think what they find themselves doing is they compare themselves to their competition. So, somebody who just started their business six months ago or a year ago, you can't compare because you're not seeing that entire history. And so sometimes those steps that those Insta experts are teaching, they don't work because you don't have the same equity that their brand has. You've got to figure out a strategy that works for you, which is different than the strategy that works for them.” -- Ruthie

Episode 186

I think the way that Tracy has started to approach emotions, how that leads us to act, and how that leads directly to results, she's actually talking about our emotions like they're math. Tracy has made it her life's work to help all of us understand what to do in that moment and how to apply change quickly.

“And I do think of it as just math. Like when two plus three equals five, you can't argue that. And your thoughts plus your feelings create your actions. You start to see that when you literally can put it down on paper and you see your experience unfolding in black and white, there's no arguing that. You now have the evidence that your brain needs and so desperately wants to actually be able to believe something.” –Tracy Pleschourt

Episode 193

How many of you are the course collectors out there in the world? This is for you if you have the best of intentions to learn and grow, and then everything else just takes over.

“[The next step] in implementing the things you want to implement, is working on your high functioning codependence and really checking in when you get interrupted in your schedule. The time to implement something you've paid money to learn, a book you've purchased, a project that's important to you, that's near and dear to your heart, and somebody else interrupts it with their priorities. You have a hot second there to decide what you're going to do about that.”-- Sarah Walton

Episode 192

Behind the Scenes with IVF and Fertility Specialist Tasha Blasi

Tasha Blasi is really up to breaking the industry as it stands now. Not to like, break it down, but break it. Meaning that she’s going to reexamine the way things are done. She really went into how we came up together -- me as her coach and she as my client -- this idea of becoming a fertility coach because when we had this conversation, that wasn't a thing.

“I don't make money; I just do it for free. And you're like, ‘Yeah, no, that's what I'll help you with on how to charge people.’… But as soon as you said it, it was like the Red Sea parted because I went home and it was floods and floods and floods of ideas, and it felt so right. … I think that we limit ourselves to possibilities because we cannot consciously figure it out ourselves.” – Tasha Blasi

Being a coach is such a great job. And Tasha is one of those fun stories to tell. If you've ever taken a workshop with me, or anytime I introduce myself, I'm like, this is what I do for people. And here's Tasha coming in as like this extraordinary woman who's produced incredible results for herself and her family and for all of the women and all of the children who are now on this planet because Tasha listened that day to that coaching and actually took action.

This is the power of conversations. We get this extraordinary ability to get in there with people in the most loving and yet the most delicate parts of our lives, right? Like money, relationships, health, the way that we view our bodies, and of course, our blocks.

Episode 195

When I was away on a girlfriend’s trip, they kicked my assets, and I had a breakthrough. I believe we can cause breakthroughs, but also that they are the number one key to making dreams a reality.

“The idea is when we are stuck when there is a point that we refuse to go past, that's a block. Because it's very different to actively choose that something isn't right for you versus something that continues to bother you. And to be totally straight with you, that's what caused the breakthrough today.” -- Sarah Walton

We have a recap for episode 100 for everything we've done up until then. And now this recap in episode 200 of all of the extraordinary guests, I've been able to bring you the solo episodes where I get to share what's going on in my life. This is such a labor of love for me to help you come into the world of coaching and see what it's really like.

Let’s get to it!
